In their inaugural season at the new Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, the Las Vegas Aviators were crowned the Pacific Coast League's Southern Division champions over the weekend and are now headed for the playoffs. The Aviators came on strong during the month of August to surpass defending division champion El Paso to clinch the division on September 1. The impressive season also saw Aviators manager Frank Riordan named PCL Manager of the Year.
The Aviators will open the best-of-5 PCL Conference Championship Series against the Sacramento River Cats, the Pacific Northern Division Champions, on Sept. 4 in Sacramento at 6:35 p.m. Game 2 will also be played Sacramento on Sept. 5 at 6:35 p.m.
Game 3, (4, 5, if necessary) will be played at the Las Vegas Ballpark on Sept. 6 at 7:05 p.m.
Las Vegas took the regular-season series against Sacramento 11-5.
Individual game playoff tickets are on sale now at the Las Vegas Ballpark Box Office or through Ticketmaster.
Playoff tickets start at $12 per ticket plus tax and fees.
